Related Posts Image Size

Hey there, I just recognized that the image size of related posts is the same size as for standard blog images. In terms of page speeds that is pretty bad. What do I have to change to use a smaller image from my image sets? I guess something somewhere in theme-functions.php...

Hi Chris,

if you want to edit images sizes, you must play with add_image_size() functions under functions/theme-functions.php file but please notice that we do not offer such customization. So if you don't know how to do it, you should contact with your website developer.

But: I think that topic is of general interest since it results in a decent improvement of site speed... you should consider this for your next update...

Hi,
There are many types of featured images in the theme, here are instructions for changing them:
1. To change the size of the images used in portfolio/blog/shop, please navigate to theme options>blog,portfolio&shop>featured image.
2. To change the size of the default WordPress gallery images, please go to settings>media.
3. To change the woocommerce images size please go to the customizer tool in wordpress and change it in the front-end.

Notice!
Remember to use thumbnail regeneration after you make your changes. Otherwise, the images will not change their size.

I want the featured image size to change ONLY in the "Related Posts Section" which is at the bottom of single posts. The strategies you mention do not target only this section right?

We do not have such a option, unfortunately.

You want to decrease a width and height right?

It can be done with CSS.
