popup doesn't work

Hi,

i try to test popup shortcode on a test site: https://niechzyja.psubraty.pl/test-blog-news/. Code for the shortcode:

[popup title="Click to open Popup" padding="20" button="1"][image src="https://niechzyja.psubraty.pl/cyraneczka-anas-crecca_c-korkosz_3654/" link="" link_image="" border="1"][divider height="20"]Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet enim. Etiam ullamcorper. Suspendisse a pellen tesque dui, non felis. Maecenas malesuada elit lectus felis, malesuada ultricies.[/popup]

It doesn't work. I turned off all the plugins. Tried on Chrome and IE.

Try to do it this way:

<div id="you-custom-id" style="display:none">CONTENT HERE</div>

It just open's new page with the addres https://niechzyja.psubraty.pl/test-blog-news/#you-custom-id and the same button. Here is my code:

It does not work because you only have a buttton that targets a <div> with that specific ID. There is no div present on that page so how could it work?

I don't understand. There is a button shortcode (with relation to DIV) and after that there is a DIV with the same ID. I just followed your example. And I still didn't get an answer what happened to popup shortcode, why it doesn't work either.

Hi,

You have disabled a lightbox in Theme Options > Addons & Plugins > Addons

Everything works fine now.

It's not fine. I use another lightbox effect. The documentation for popup doesn't say anything about this neccesary setting. Is there a way to use popup shortcut and have default lightbox disabled? Now I see two lightbox effects at once.

No, there is none. If you disable the lightbox option then you are not using the plugin for the popup. It is normal that it will not work then. If you want, you are free to use a third party plugin for popups but we do not support such changes.
