I add an item in visual composer, click save and update page - and the item is gone

Hi,

I'm building my homepage from scratch, using BeTheme. I have 7 sections on my landing page - in the last section I want to add three buttons. the first one is showing and all right, the others aren't.

What I do: it doesn't matter weather I copy the existing button or add a new one - or any other item (tried a few different ones). I click save changes and then update the page. When I visualize the page nothing happens - because it's like I never added the item. It's gone in the visual composer. Same thing happens when I add another section or wrap.

I'm very grateful for any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix it.

Please make a screenshot of your System Status in BeTheme > System Status

nope, apparently not... dumb question, but how do I upload the image? tried the "insert image" button… doesn't seem to work.

Hi,

Please talk with your hosting provider and tell him to increase:

PHP Max Input Vars to 5000

PHP Time limit to 180.

And if it's possible, downgrade PHP Version to 7.0

host upgraded/increased everything - that did the trick.
