2. We are not sure what is exactly wrong on those screenshots but if you mean those very large screens, like 4K or whatever, then theme won't be full width on those screenshots. Be, like each other theme got wrapper and whole content is wrapped into fixed wrapper width.
#1 Because this is how theme was created. Slider is not inside wrapper, but footer is. That's it.
