Menu not working from posts or pages

Hello,
So I'm having a problem with my one-page scrolling site.  My menu items work fine from the homepage but if I'm on either a post or a separate page, I click on the menu link and nothing happens.  I can see in the url it is just adding the menu link (example: #services) to the end of my post or page link, which of course doesn't work.  
So if I'm on a post named "help" and the url shows up as https://mysite.com/help and then I try and click the main menu item named "services", I see the url change to https://mysite.com/help/#services but nothing happens.
How can I fix this?
