Header image problems

Is there a correct size to upload header images? I am creating them 1920 x 500px.

The top of my images are getting cut off, It seems like your theme is auto zooming the image? I just want to upload the image at the correct size so it looks perfect.

Please always attach a link so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost) then our help will be limited, you will have to contact us when the page is online. Also please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us the link.
It is always a good idea to also attach a screenshot, for that use services like snag.gy or pasteboard.co

Hi,

The site is under maintenance, but I would just like this image: https://pasteboard.co/HKPTv8d.jpg

to display without cutting the top off. I dont mind if the bottom is reduced.

When I upload it into "featured image" for the header, it is displayed like this:https://pasteboard.co/HKPUg1E.png

So please, what is the correct size for the header, and what settings do I need to put in "theme options" to display all of the header image?

Please go to Theme Options > Header & Subheader > Header

and be sure that "Minimalist" option is turned off.

I see that the header image just sits behind the top header, how can I position it so it starts at the bottom of the header strip?

To clarify: How do I position the subheader so it is under the header, not behind it?
