Responsiveness and @media attribute

Hi,

I am having slight issues with increasing the font size of my website's footer. I have included an html widget and added a heading and button. When resizing, the font decreases to an illegible size. I tried to use the @media(max-width: 480px) {.header{ font-size: 18px;}} css code so that I can customize the font for a mobile device.

Within the 'additional css' section in the Appearance->customize menu, the attribute is not being read as well as within the theme options-> additional css section. Could anyone let me know how I can increase the button size and font size within the footer? The website is 'growthbus.com'
