Update from 9.7.1 to recent version

Hi guys,

I inherited a website with an awfully old version of betheme (9.7.1) and would like to update it to the most recent version of BeTheme.

However, when activating the new version the frontend is completely messed up and looks nowhere like it used to do. I tried to go through some of the css files to find differences but a lot has changed in the last 3 years or so.

Do you think it is even possible to update an existing betheme from 9.7.1 to the latest version?

Hi,
Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:
http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#general
Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.

Thank you for your response. So you're saying that it should be no problem to upgrade the theme code from 9.7 to the latest release? Because this doesn't seem to work for me now..
