Hello, I am having trouble with the meta description displayed on google. Upon looking at the page source there are two Meta descriptions. One is the theme and the other (which I want to keep) is Yoast. I have very limited knowledge of code but can follow easy step by step instructions of how to get rid of the theme meta description.

Hi,
If you're using the Yoast SEO plugin then you should turn off our Seo settings.
It can be disabled in the Theme Options > SEO

If you have this option turned off already then you don't have to worry about it, it will take the description from Yoast SEO.
But, you have to wait a few days to get your website description refreshed by the Google robots.

It's just the information which help search engines(like Google) to mark up your website.

It tells the search engine which type of website is it, in our case it's the "Webpage" type.
