Please update the whole theme folder.

?

Do I need to update theme via ftp?

Regular update through BeTheme > Dashboard is enough, this annotation is for customers with the Child Theme.

So, you should remove and install the new theme files(parent and child) from ThemeForest.
Remember, to include all of the changes made in the old Child Theme into the new Child Theme files.

The child I have, is not from Theme forest, I have created it using plugin Childify.
