Empty Cart

My site has been showing a problem where, a customer can add items to their cart but when they click on the cart icon its says "your cart is currently empty".

I'm able to replicate the problem but it seems quite random and intermittent. After an hour long session with GoDaddy support, we've determined that the cart works properly with a default theme and for some reason when Betheme is activated, it is taking too long for the information to get to the cart.

any suggestions?

Hi,

Please disable all of the plugins (leave the WooCommerce turned on only), clear the cache of your browser and check if the issue still exists.

Also, tell me:

Is your WP and BeTheme up to date?

Is your PHP Version 7 or higher?

Good morning. All plugins are deactivated except for Woocommerce. Both Woocommerce and be theme are up to date. PHP 7.5.12 Yet the issue persists.

Did you set the main shop page in the woocommerce settings?

WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced

Definitely. It worked perfectly for at least a year. These problems are recent.

I do not see that issue anymore.

I switched to other theme, then again to BeTheme and it works now.

nope its still happening. For some reason it doesn't happen every time to every person but, I'm sure if you try a few different browsers, or switch to incognito mode, you'll encounter the issue. I just encountered the issue and have had customers complain about it on instagram today

Hey,

this is a typical cache issue on the server side. We do not know why godaddy sent you to us, since it has a managed wordpress option in which they have their cache.

After flushing the cache, the issue was no longer present.

Please ask them to turn off their mandatory cache option, otherwise woocommerce will act like this.

Hey. I've had GoDaddy turn the object cache completely off. But the problem persists. I believe you may have thought it was fixed because it seems to rectify itself after a minute or two as long as you dont keep trying to reload the cart immediately.

Can you please try to active any standard wordpress theme like 'twentynineteen' and se if the issue shows as well?

I think the changes in the hosting made by GoDaddy had to have some time to kick in. What I mean is that now, everything works. I have tried to add/remove items from the cart in firefox and chrome for about 10 minutes and everything was working fine. Can you please try again? I suggest you clear your cache in the browser.
