YSlow Result shows list of items which can improve speed

Hi. We are running the website speed test on GTMetrix and saw that what we can improve the YSlow result via items which we cant do much from our side. There are several items (mainly) are about CSS and JV. We have bought two licenses from Betheme (muffin group) and used for two different website (with two different hostings). They are both having the same issue with YSlow results (about stylesheet and Javascript) 
Wondering if the author/develop of the theme can so something to make difference?
