Mega Menu Appear/Disappear Animation Delay

Hello,

It is possible to add a delay or modify the animation duration of the "Mega Menu" sub-menu disappearing after you remove your mouse from the parent menu item?

I want the sub-menu to linger for like 1 second after the mouse leaves the parent item.

If you mouse over a parent item, and try to move the mouse to one of the child items that are on the far left or right of the submenu, the menu disappears because you leave the div of the parent.

I assume a delay would help but any other suggestions are welcome.

Sadly, but it's not be possible.

I tried to achieve it in many ways, but it is created in the way, that any transitions(animation) will not work.
