New Image Size

Hello,

I'm trying to make the image gallery item display cropped images as you have on some of your pre-built themes, but so far without success. It only when i select Thumbnail size on the options, but as expected the images appear blurry. If there's an easier way to do this without coding, please let me know.

So far I created a new image size on functions.php (note that I'm not proefficient in coding, but I went searching all over the web) using this:

add_image_size( 'custom-image-square', 600, 600, true );

Then I wanted to add it to the dropdown options on the muffin builder, but I don't know if I'm calling it correctly:

After that I regenerated thumbnails, but had no success. My goal is to have an image gallery like you do on your presentation page: https://themes.muffingroup.com/be/theme/pages/gallery/ where you display cropped images and then full size when you click. I tried changing image sizes on settings>media, but they don't crop when displaying.

Where your images appear cropped and then when you click they appear full size.

It's working like that by the default, even if you will set the size to "Thumbnail", then after click it will display the image with original size.

It's not working like that by default, only if I select thumbnail. But when I select thumbnail the images appear blurry, by obvious reasons. If I select any other size (medium or large) they appear in their original proportion and not cropped. How can I select one of those and they appear like that gallery?

Oh, you want to display them to be the same size, right?

To change the size of the default WordPress gallery images, please go to settings>media

Notice!
Remember to use thumbnail regeneration after you make your changes. Otherwise, the images will not change their size.
