php error on wordpress update & LayerSlider WP not updating

edited April 2020 in Theme support
1) Deprecated: contextual_help is deprecated since version 3.3.0! Use get_current_screen()->add_help_tab(), get_current_screen()->remove_help_tab() instead. in wp-includes/functions.php on line 5088

2) LayerSlider WP, as this is paid plugin its not being updated from dashboard. Though I Updated theme today I though it would update the included plugin.

Should I re-download & install the theme to make that plugin work?

  • Hello,
    Is your PHP Version 7 or higher?
    Also, send me a link to your website.
    Thanks
  • Hi, Great Pablo :)

    1) It is the exact same msg written above. Screenshot

    2)  I tried reinstalling, what happens is it install version 6.10.2 always.
    and there is a new version 6.11.0. This is a MUST update according to author as its related
    to wordpress 5.4 upgrade.
  • Can you disable all of the plugins, clear the cache of your browser and check, if the issue with the error message still exists?

    About the LayerSlider, we didn't include the newest version yet - you have to wait couple of days for it.
    Thanks
  • Wow, interesting. I deactivated all plugin, and the error disappeared. I tried enabling each plugin one by one to see if any plugin would raise error, but none did. Well all is good.

    Also the plugin got update today and it worked. Many thanks.
