Unable to update Visual Composer

Hi,

I have seen and read many of these threds on this forum, unfortunately none of them solved my problem.

Visual Composer has stopped working on my website, I cannot edit any pages with the VC. I already tried to disable all other plugins and accessing the page via the "Edit witch VC" option. The installed version of VP is 4.3.5 with Wordpress 5.3.2. When I go to BeTheme -> Install Plugins I do see the "Update" option.

But when I click it simply shows the following screen.

The Visual Composer was already activated, now it says activation is required again. Only problem is, that if I follow the "Settings" link, I have to activate with a deprecated method of the Secret API Key.

What am I missing and how can I update the bundeld software I purchased with the BeTheme?

Hello,

You say that you activated your Visual Composer? Did you buy the code?

If so, please activate it once more, but this time after that, please go to the Theme Options > Addons & Plugins > Premium Plugin and change the dropdown menu near "Visual Composer" to "I have purchased an extra license"

After that, you will be able to download the plugin successfully from WP Dashboard > Plugins

Hello,

I did not buy an extra license so this won't work. I said the Visual Composer was already activated, as seen in my second screenshot where it says "active, requires update".

So how can I update the Visual Composer if it came in a bundle with BeTheme?

It can be updated in the BeTheme > Install Plugins, just click the "Update" button.

Also, remember to make your BeTheme up to date.

As already stated in my first post, this does not work.

I click on the "Update" button you mentioned (see https://imgur.com/rVJgLIB)

Then it shows this screen (see https://imgur.com/TcR5oP4) and does nothing.

Wordpress and BeTheme are up to date.

Hi,

I solved the problem by setting up a clean Wordpress install and installing the theme and the plugins from scratch. Then I copied the plugin data via FTP to the website with the update issues.
