Revolution slider won't update or activate.

Hi there, 


I deactivated all plugins, updated WP to the latest version and then bought a licence key and activated my existing BEtheme. However after the WP update the revolution sldider says that it need to be updated and I can not activate it. In Betheme>Install plugins it says 5.4.8 (in red) Installed but not Activated, Requires update.  When I try to update it from Betheme>Install plugins, it ends up saying that the plugin is up-to-date. So now I can't update and also can't activate it.


Please advice how to proceed. I have invested a lot of work into the the creation of slides and need to be able to update and active it. Since there is no way to manually update the plugin, I am stuck.
