Buttons opening "_blank" not "_self"

Hi, I've created a button at [Links visible only for registered users] called "FIND OUT MORE" in the Hello section of the page. The code in the backend says: 

<p style="margin-top:50px;">[button title="FIND OUT MORE" link="[Links visible only for registered users]" target="_self" align="" icon="" icon_position="" color="" font_color="" size="3" full_width="" class="" download="" rel="" onclick=""]</p>

but when I click the button it opens in a new tab, do you know why?
