Theme update

Hi Im running your theme on our website https://killarneyharps.com/

it is betheme version 8.6. I'm trying to update the php file to 7.2 and this is not supported by this theme version which is pointed out by the hosting provider.

How do I go about updating this theme and the child theme Not great with wordpress.

Hello,

Please update your theme to the latest version, right now it's really old, it will surely not work with the php 7.2

Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:

Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.

We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.

Hey,

please go to Betheme > Theme options and click on save, it will reload the CSS in the database responsible for the style. Let us know if this helped.

Hi Bryan Thanks that worked.

Can I ask, I just spotted that I have four betheme lience codes associated with my website.

The theme is no longer on my website but I have it on other websites. Can I use the codes on them instead as I have betheme install on them. They were really old versions. How do I go about this.

Hello,

I do not quite understand the question at all, but all of the themes on the envato market are under the same license, details: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard

You can use one license per end product, so you can use any pre-built website you desire or mix them but you cannot use the theme license on two domains.
The only exceptions are for subdomains or subfolders. You can register unlimited subdomains with one license key, as long as the main domain is registered under the same key.
This also applies to subfolder on localhost installations.

Where do I get the secret api key for visual composer

Purchase codes (license keys) are not included for plugins which are bundled into the theme. It’s because of Themeforest license & agreements. This applies to all themes of course. However, there is no need to use this code because the plugins are fully functional without it.
Something like “Free” version of a plugin does not exist. All bundled plugins are included with extended licenses and users can use these plugins within the theme without needing to purchase them separately. This is standard and according to ThemeForest rules.

I got sorte I uploaded the plugin again from theme forest and the new version does not ask for secret api so I was able to update the plugin through my own lience.

But, this version is not coming from us, version which is coming from us is an WPBakery Page Builder, not Visual Composer.

Please, make a backup with this plugin first:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Then, please remove whole Visual Composer plugin, then head to the BeTheme > Install Plugins, and install the latest version of that plugin - if you were using the plugin from our bundled plugins (earlier), then your content will be saved and displayed in the builder as well.
