You did not set the main page for shop, you have to select that page in the woocommerce settings.

Be sure that you set all of the required pages:

The "Shop" item from the Muffin Builder does not inherit options from the theme options.

OK, thx, but that is not possible here as we have many "shop" pages.

Is there an option to not show the buttons only when hovering? ... instead have them always visible under the image?

Hello,
You can turn off all the buttons while hovering for the whole website.

Sadly buttons under the image can be shown only on the main shop page.

Please go to Betheme > Theme Options > Global > General, and in "Style" choose option "Disable hover effect".
