Page disrupted after update

Hi, I have recently updated my website by installing a SSL certificate. Then I updated to PHP 7.3 (from 6.5) because some features/plugin didn't work anymore, althought after doing that I noticed that backend page updating failed every time by giving back a critical error.

I fixed that issue too by editing a function inside the theme.

Now a new issue appears.

When I try to update a page I find the same page in backend area completely upset, with the whole builder empty.

What can I do?

I have installed WordPress 5.5.3

Hi Phil, first I had edited hosting settings and then installed Really Simple SSL

It is very likely that "Really Simple SSL" cause all this problems.
Please, turn it off, and check if the issue still appears.

Please, do a backup of your website using duplicator plugin.

After that please please, be sure that you made all steps like under
following link in sections "Modifying Your WordPress Settings" and
"Modifying the .htaccess Page Manually"

Hi again, yes I already did all those steps, as usual, it's not the first time I do that.

Generally, after installing certificate I install and activate Really Simple SSL plugin and it does everything to put the website in https, without any other step or issue.

Please give me more accurated instructions to get throught that.

told you, then you have to contact your hosting provider about it,
because all of the settings related to the SSL and BeTheme + WP are made
correctly.

For sure, the hosting provider will check the server logs and give you some advice, what to do to make it work.

Hi, they told me that nothing goes wrong.

I would inform you that after switching to https at the very first time when I tried to edit and save a page the prompt showed a critical error every time.

We correct a bug in a function and then saving pages was not a problem anymore.

Now the new issue is duplicate a page, maybe having a look again at theme files could be the best practice?

Hi, I use Yoast Duplicate Post, it should be one of the most supported plugin.

Well, I see that already you have very old version of Betheme.
Please, do the update to the newest one.
Here is an instruction on how to update the theme:

Theme updates will not delete your content unless you have changed the files directly in which case we suggest using a child theme.
We also recommend creating a backup file.
Please remove the theme completely from your theme folder and install a fresh copy. Do not overwrite files.
