Filtering options on a page with the be blog component added.
I tried to set the 'posts' page in the wordpress reading settings to my resources (blog) page but I couldn't edit the style at all. When I did this, however, the filtering options for the posts (by category, tags and authors) showed up. So that I could style the page the way I wanted, I used elementor and added the Be Blog element to a page here - https://miratasoftware.wpengine.com/resources/
Is it possible to show that top bar with the 'filter by' options like you show in your demo on this page?

Hello,
All options that you can change in the main blog page are in the Theme Options -> Blog, Portfolio & Shop -> Blog
There you can select layouts, filtering, ordering, title heading, excerpt and much more :)
What do you mean by "Is it possible to show that top bar with the 'filter by' options like you show in your demo on this page? "
Thanks
Please see image below where I've circled the 'filter by' element i'm referring to. Again, I'm using the elementor element 'Be-Blog'.
This Filter by section will appear as soon as you set your main Blog page in Settings -> Reading.
Thanks
I saw that... but as soon as I do that, I loose the ability to customize the page. Seems like doing that overwrites everything else I added to the page (header/footer/content/etc). Is there a way to still stylize the page that is set for the 'posts page'?
That is because the main blog page should be blank page, because it is generated automaticly and it takes its visual display from Theme Options.

You can create the blog page with Blog item in Elemenotor but unfortunately, it will remain without Filter by section.
