These pages are reduced to the Site width you have set in Betheme -> Theme options -> Global -> General.
Please, try to increase it, and check if the display suits you.

One more question - is there a way I can hide a subheader in a Single product page but still have it visible in the Shop page?
To achieve that, you will have to write a custom CSS code and place it in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.
