Security problems

Dear muffin group,

we have a security issue on our website and using be theme with wordpress (updated)
The main problem is that somehow links are inserted between </header> and <div id="Content">
The links are not created by us... it looks like maleware was inserted into our wordpress / be theme
Please take a look at www.bestattungen-meister.de/unsere-leistungen/

One of this "maleware" links is: "i need windows 7 product key"

Do you have any suggestions to fix this problem? we are not sure where this security problem is coming from
Remarks: We are using Hyper Cache, that is the reason why the maleware links are show always at the same position, if we disable Hyper Cache and refresh the page the maleware add will be removed... but then displayed again on other page after a time

thank you very much
greetings from germany

  • Hi,

unfortunately we do not have any suggestions for those kind of problems because this is not related with theme. Those kind of problems are usually related with old versions of plugins or just because FTP are not properly secured. Recent well know vulnerabilities were related with Yoast plugin and Revolution Slider. If there is any old version of any of those plugins, then hackers may jump between folders/files on the same FTP and paste own code. All we can recommend in this case is make updates of all plugins you use but if this won't help then, you should contact with someone who is able to find the reason of your problems because basically this could be everything.

    Thanks!
  • thank you very much for response. we removed all not needed plugins and now its fixed.
