Please, use the following CSS code:

   font-weight: bold;
   color: #fff;
}
#Side_slide #menu ul li.submenu .menu-toggle{
   opacity: 0.8!important;
}

Put it in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.

Ita also possible to expand submenu by clicking also on the word (submenu title) and not only on the "+"
