The sidebar menu template from the templates tab is a different feature than the sidebars from Appearance -> Widgets.
The Sidebar menu template can be assigned to the hamburger menu in the header template or can be set to be always visible on the entire website. It cannot be displayed on a particular page as you want.
The Sidebar made with widgets can be used this way (as you currently assigned it), but it needs to be styled.
