Custom fonts wot working with cache

whenever i enable the theme cache the custom fonts stop working.

Tried reinstalling them, adding css, nothing works when i enable cache it all breaks.

Cant give FTP to my website as its only accessable from my ip address and im not adding another.

Comments

  • which file does the custom fonts get uploaded to in FTP, i cant see the font file anywhere but the font loads on the site with cache disabled.

  • When i clear the cache, then enable the font works, if i refesh the page 5 times, it then vanishes on that refreshed page, then starts to vanish from the rest of the website.

  • Hi,

The uploaded custom font goes to https://yourwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/year/month/font.ttf.

I tried to replicate this issue in my environment, and the custom font worked with cache option built-in theme options.

Are there any extra steps to reproduce that?

  • I have uploaded the fonts im trying.

If i upload all 3 and set them like in the pic, the menu and heading on homepage revert to system font after refresh a few times and all other pages revert to system font.

If i upload only medium font and clean all cache and remove other font files, after refreshing it will change to the bold custom font i uplaoded and medium custom font, but the bold font is not even on the server at all.

  • the css gets canceld out for some reason, no other font family is showing either.

  • status.png is what the font should look like, whenever i change the font, it shows on all pages, untill i refresh a few times, then every single page apart from one page reverts to system font.

Looks to be an issue with varnish cache with 1 font and purge varnihs cache it works fine

Multiple weight fonts, purista bold, purista medium, purista semi bold, then the font css gets canceled and it reverts to system font

  • To clarify. Do you refer to the cache option in theme options or to the varnish cache?

At the beginning, you mentioned the one from theme options and now you talk about the varnish, and I want to miss the confusion.
