Adding Categories to Menu problem

I have a problem. I have added 2 Categories to my main menu. But when you click on the specific Category, it brings up a filter page, but the page's first item is the full post followed by the listing of all of the abbreviated items for that category including the one listed again. How do I remove the top full post listing?

Do I have to setup a Posts page? And how does it filter by a specific category.

yes, you must set the posts page because this is the main reason why your blog page does not look good.

Does one of the example Demo pages have a Category listed in the menu AND the Posts page set? If so, could you let me know which one, so I can look at it and use it as reference. Thank you.

No, we do not have categories in menu on any of pre-made demos.
