Use of code snippets / reading time in blog template ?

Hi, I have a blog post section using beBuilder template. on the main page, i have been able to customize almost everything except one thing. I added a php code using code snippets to add reading time, and before, i was using something like this : php echo temps_lecture() to show it. How could I add it in the template ? Or add the reading time.

  • Hi,

What you ask for requires file customization, which, in reference to the Item Support Policy, is not allowed. http://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy

So, if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact your web developer. Item Policy says:

Item support does not include services to modify or extend the item beyond the original features, style, and functionality described on the item page. For customization services that will help you tailor the item to your specific requirements, we recommend contacting the author to see if they privately offer paid customization services or checking out the great service providers on Envato Studio.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for your feedback, i understand. It's a shame that it's not possible to edit those type of blocks. i would have thought i could find it in "pre-built sections", and customize.

Maybe this is an idea for new feature, to add the time of read as an option then ?

Just to understand the beTheme behavior, maybe for a next delivery, if i absolutely wanted to edit how this page looks like, what would be my options ?

    Thanks for your help.

  • 1) If you would like to see such a feature in future updates, please let us know on the following topic:

    2)

Just to understand the beTheme behavior, maybe for a next delivery, if i absolutely wanted to edit how this page looks like, what would be my options ?

Can you explain that in more detail, please?

I do not understand your question.

    Thanks

  • hi, for 2 : if i wanted to edit how the main blog page appears, is there any way to change it, or do i have to stick with the current appearance ?

  • If you use blog styles from theme options, then you can change them in Betheme -> Theme options -> Blog & Portfolio -> Blog.

But if you use a Blog template, you can customize your layout however you want.

    Best regards
