  • Hi,

the plugin have been updated today. But please note that you're updating it under your own responsibility as current version is still buggy. If you look into Slider Revolution's changelog https://www.sliderrevolution.com/documentation/changelog/ you will see that they release updates every few days. This means they are still working on fixes.

Moreover, there is a lot of things that has to be learnt in new version. All details you will find on https://www.sliderrevolution.com/sr7-velocity-frontend-engine-update/

  • Hi Albert,

Thanks for updating. Seems like it's kind of a catch-22 situation: stay with the old version is a known security risk, upgrading is an unknown security risk ?

It's possible to get (free) notifications from Patchstack. I can just let you know if they notify me about problems with another version, if that's okay with you?

thanks for the link about the engine updates, learning new things is part of being a web developer i suppose.

    Kind regards, - Mark

  • We are always being informed if there are any vulnerabilities in 3rd party plugins but frankly speaking this one is not so important as you need admin privileges to inject anything.

However, it is usually like that you have to choose between vulnerability and freshly released version that is not stable yet and needs time to be fixed.
