How can I find out whether a site is using a pre-made template and how to fix problem

I have inherited the maintenance and updates of a website built using BeTheme that is giving me nightmares to work out how things were done in the firts place as they are suddenly not working properly and I can´t figure out what's wrong with it.

This is the website and the main problem is the homepage main slider, that seems to jump to a next line when you hover over the third image.

Any ideas on how to fix this or what template is this using?
