Clients Slider wrecks my Lighthouse Score

When I enable the clients slider, my performance score in Lighthouse drops from 87 to 30. What am I doing wrong?

The images used in the slider are SVGs and the site in question is a staging site. I'll gladly send you the required login Data via a secure channel.

I wanted to check it with PageSpeed to examine this more closely, but as it is password-protected, it does not display anything.

It is no Clients slider problem.

I made two tests of your website. First, with Clients slider:

Second without it:

As you can see, the results are pretty much the same.

As you might have noticed, the results differ from what you showed because I disabled all the plugins we do not support. You can find a list of supported plugins here:
