page elements not showing with slider revolution enabled

My site is not showing any pages using Slider Revolution headers...

englishcocker.org/home-2/

englishcocker.org/store/

When i first open the site, the home page resolves but after clicking on another page, any page using slider revolution headers no longer shows the page data.

I tried updating slider revolution and layer slider plugins via your BE dashboard but that doesn't make any difference.

I restored the site to yesterday, and it resolved it for a few minutes, but then the issue started again.

I tried disabling all plugins, and then re-enabling them one at a time but that didn't help.

I then changed my theme from BETHeme-child (the theme i have been using) to BETheme and that showed page details that don't have Slider Revolution headers, but any pages using Slider Revolution do not show the page information.

When i go back to use BETheme child no pages show in the menu.

Getting the site back up again is of paramount importance as our annual membership renewal process is active, and no one can pay their dues until the store is accessible again.

I"m enabling your WP account so you can troubleshoot (details sent separateley)

Thanks.

  • As an FYI: I created a new temp store page using Slider Revolution header and added two page links to products and it works perfectly

    https://englishcocker.org/store-temp/

existing pages do not resolve correctly.

  • Another finding on this issue... when i click on the site Icon at the top of the page (emblem of a dog) the home page appears normally, but when i click on the HOME menu, the page hides the main page information and just shows the slider.

  • Hi,

    1) These are two different pages and links:

It looks like you have a duplication of your home page without content in the menu.

Go to Appearance -> Menus, and correct that.

    2) Go to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products, and see if you have shop page assigned correctly.

  • I did manage to get the home page back up again as you recommended.. thanks.

However... the store page was set correctly (i deliberately didn't set one in WooCommerce) and i use a Page with all the products in that page...

There was no way to get that old page to publish correctly, so i gave up and completely redeveloped a new Store page and added all the products to it...

I still have no idea why the old Store page stopped working...

  • Do you remember any particular steps you did before that happened?

  • I actually never touched the website for a week or so, which was the first thing i thought of (asking myself what if anything was the last thing i did).

Since then i have found several other pages that use Slider Revolution headers that are now showing no page data below the slider and no way to recover that information that was on the page.

Methinks there is a bigger issue here?

Please advise what other steps can be taken other than recreating all the missing pages again (the Store took me 12 hours of work to recreate).

  • OK... i have been checking more pages and i found that if i revert to its earliest version it recovers the page data.

At least things are ok for now...

The bigger issue is why this has been happening (It only happened with Slider Revolution headers.. all other pages are fine)

  • Please open the Slider Revolution settings and change the Rendering Engine to SR6, and check if the problem persists.

    Best regards

  • It is and was set to SR6.

Today pages are presenting full data correctly.

Any other settings i can look at?

    Terry

  • There is always a possibility that some feature on your server causes it.

You can contact your hosting provider and ask if you do not have anything active that could erase the database for pages.

    Best regards
