Auto Draft in menu isn't disappearing
Hello,
I'm trying to get rid of the "Auto Draft" in the menu of our new site. I've watched your video (link below). Theme Editor isn't available, so I downloaded a plugin to put the code (below) in the Theme Functions, but "Auto Draft" is still in the menu.
Thanks. JL

/**
* Hide Draft Pages from the menu
*/
function filter_draft_pages_from_menu ($items, $args) {
foreach ($items as $ix => $obj) {
if (!is_user_logged_in () && 'draft' == get_post_status ($obj->object_id)) {
unset ($items[$ix]);
}
}
return $items;
}
add_filter ('wp_nav_menu_objects', 'filter_draft_pages_from_menu', 10, 2);
Comments
Never mind the auto draft remaining on the menu; it finally disappeared. Thank you. I have another question: right now, when you hover over an item in the menu that has a submenu, the items in the submenu appear, but most of the items are below my screen. I have a MacBook Pro with a rather small screen, but I still need to fix it nevertheless. We're using the Author theme, please see attached image.
Thanks, JL
Hi,
Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.
Thanks
I'm so sorry about that, here's the live website: www.rafeller.com.
Thank you, JL
Hello,
About the same URL, www.rafeller.com, I made a video about a few more things. The main image on the front page overlaps the books below; the image is repeating despite the settings changed, and the text on the front page is not where it should be. Here's the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U1MNBDQFSs_vouiNHaOWnkFiGxcdy5A2/view?usp=sharing

1) Please try the following CSS code:
Put it in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.
2) It seems that you set up this image as Section decoration. Remove it from there, and set it up as section background image:
Best regards
Thanks for the information and code, it fixed that problem.
We have another issue. I made a video, which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LhDVjpKqFNigxpfxH-E5K7uDGCQYMiW5/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, JL
We're also having the problem of seeing the items in the submenu. www.rafeller.com. I have a small screen on my MacBook Pro, but it needs to be fixed nonetheless.
1) I checked your website with Firefox and Chrome, and I can see the background image:
Did you handle this?
2) Please edit the code I sent you previously and adjust the negative value given there, e.g. 150px;
Best regards
Hello,
The homepage, main image is still missing, except for in incognito mode (see video below). The object cache and static server cache were deleted before testing. The image is missing on my friend's computer as well.
Thanks, JL

Never mind about the text in the menu (upper left-hand side of the page; the default BE THEME AUTHOR text), I found the setting.
Thank you, JL
So everything is fine now?
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Best regards
The problem on the home page still exists; I still need help with it at www.rafeller.com. Why is the image showing while in incognito mode but not on my regular Chrome browser and not on my friend's computer? I made another video; here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VLlTfJJP8_ALG8HrBdj4d6i0YcxD_RPb/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, JL
Update: please disregard all. The image is appearing at the top of the home page, and I got everything else working.
Blessings, JL
Hello,
I have another question. I made a video, which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19b8ED13bjOmMsMBJTyben_swqPM3VeEl/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, JL
The website I referred to in the last video is www.calingtoncastle.com.
If you do not want to lose anything from the website, you can use a single-page import feature to restore the previous layout.
See the following video tutorial about that:
https://support.muffingroup.com/video-tutorials/how-to-import-single-page/
Best regards
Ok, thank you.
I have another question. Note that I'm not sending you multiple questions at once; I'm sending them one at a time. Here's the next question: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l9cB0WiLqvcP-JK-R9x1fXMPPJHbYAa-/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, JL
A creative header style is not suitable for such a layout. I suggest activating the following options from Betheme -> Theme options -> Menu & Action Bar -> Menu:
Best regards
Ok, thank you.
Another question: when I'm building a page and accidentally delete the "Read More" button, how do I get it back? It's not in the list of Elements.
Thanks, JL
I do not know what Read More button you refer to exactly or what its purpose was, but it was most likely just a regular button element.
Best regards
Hello,
Here's what I mean about the "More" button: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DG04g51-2RYuXJaGIHBAtZXZD7c19d1o/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, JL
As I mentioned in my previous message, it is a Button element.
Add it by dragging ad drop the button element in BeBuilder:
Best regards
Hi there,
I appreciate your help in the last message. I have 3 more questions for you. I made a video, which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tWq71RwEIllvXZgk4k0yJZwJDqMOuk1V/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, JL
It is a Blog element with a Masonry tiles style selected.
You will achieve this by choosing this style in element settings:
Best regards
Hello,
I went through all the settings so I wouldn't have to send you another message, but I couldn't locate what I needed. Please see the attached image.
Thanks, JL
1) The line's color can be changed in the style tab of the Blog element:
2) Try the following CSS code:
Best regards
Thank you for the code, it works really good. \
I have another question: is this possible - when somebody clicks on a link, it'll go to that page and the website will automatically scroll down to a certain spot on the page? Would that require additional coding?
Thanks, JL
Hello,
I have a second question, it's actually a problem. I've changed the hamburger button location (for mobile) to be on the right-hand side of the screen, but it's still persisting to be on the left-hand side. Please see the attached image.
Website: www.rafeller.com
Thanks, JL
1) Making anchor links (in the menu or not) is simple as creating regular links.
Please head to the documentation, where you will find all required steps to do that:
https://support.muffingroup.com/faq/how-do-i-link-an-anchor-on-the-same-page/
If you want to put a link to another page, put the whole URL before an ID, so it should look like this:
https://yourwebsite.com/page/#anchorlink
2) Please go to Betheme -> Theme options -> Responsive -> Header, and disalbe Sticky menu button option:
Best regards
Hello,
The captions on the images are a little too light. Can you give me the sitewide CSS so I can adjust it? Please see the attached image. The page I took the image from is https://calingtoncastle.com/production-team/
Thanks, JL
