Anchor Links Scrolling too far

We are currently building a website and are having a trouble with the custom ID's in the section. The links are scrolling too far.

Each section on this page has a custom id and the sidebar has the links to quickly jump to different sections, but when you click on them they scroll past the section heading.

The one page setting is turned on for this page.

Can you take a look?

Thanks,
Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,
this is because the custom links have to have a class added, the class is: scroll
Since this is a widget, you will be not able to add the class to each element.
We will try to add this feature on the next update (friday)
    thanks
  • Hi,

I'm also currently having the problem that when I click on a button, it doesn't scroll to the ID but scrolls too far.

If you then scroll back up and do the same thing again, it works. But every time a new user comes to the site, the first time they scroll is always too far.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • We have found that the W3 Total Cache caused this issue, but we are still looking which setting configuration is the culprit particularly.

As soon as we find it, I will let you know.

  • We have checked all options that can be disabled in this plugin, but none of them seems to be the root cause.

The plugin must add something that is the culprit but cannot be turned off. Only completely disabling it solve this problem. It would be best if you reach their support regarding this issue.

  • Since you advertise on your homepage that Betheme is compatible with this plugin, I was hoping that you could contact the developers at W3 directly.

You know the problem better and can describe the problem better than I can.

This would solve this problem more quickly.

  • Unfortunately, we do not have direct contact with the plugin author, so you must contact them. However, if you explain your issue and attach a link to this discussion, they should be able to help you with that.

Please note that it is not advertising or collaboration, but this plugin was compatibility tested. We do not have influence on features and changes they introduce.

    Best regards
