Post and pages published with bebuilder fails to get permalink

edited July 7 in Theme support

Here I am again.

I noticed this now... from v27.6.5 at least, to latest 28.1.3 on all my sites, if you create a page (same for posts), and save the draft, it gets a permalink as it is normal to get. If, while the page is still in draft, you edit it with bebuilder and then publish it from bebuilder, the page is saved with a malformed permalink that points to home page. This independently from permalink structure.

For example: you create a new page named "scrooge" on hypothetical site "fanoftruth.com"

In WP Editor you see that saved draft gets permalink "https://www.fanoftruth.com/scrooge/.

If then you edit it with Bebuilder and publish it FROM BEBUILDER, it will loose permalink that will become "https://www.fanoftruth.com//" (with double "/" at the end).

For your convenience, a second example regarding posts.

You create a new post named "scrooge" on hypothetical site "fanoftruth.com"

In WP Editor you see that saved draft gets permalink "https://www.fanoftruth.com/07-05-2025/scrooge/", since this is your permalink structure.

If then you edit it with Bebuilder and publish it FROM BEBUILDER, it will loose permalink that will become "https://www.fanoftruth.com/07-05-2025//" (with double "/" at the end).

If you publish the page (or the post) BEFORE editing in BeBuilder, it's all ok.

If you edit and publish posts and pages with WP editor everything is ok.

This happens in ANY SITE WITH BETHEME V27.6.5 and above (at least, I don't know when this problem started), on any provider, on any kind of server. All WP versions are up to date.

Regards

Francesco
