Category view after update

I have a little problem with the category view since the update from 28.0.6 to 28.1.3.

Before the update, the category and keyword view always displayed the title of the category, the keyword or the year.

After the update, the most recent post in the category will now always be displayed in the header and no longer the title.

Before the update:

Category view: https://halfmoon-biking.ch/category/berner-oberland/

Keyword view: https://halfmoon-biking.ch/tag/obersimmental-saanen/

Annual view: https://halfmoon-biking.ch/2021/

After the update:

Category view: https://dc2.ch/biking_wp_test/category/berner-oberland/

Keyword view: https://dc2.ch/biking_wp_test/tag/obersimmental-saanen/

Annual view: https://dc2.ch/biking_wp_test/2021/

Do you have any tips how I can display the category title again? I searched for a long time but, couldn't find any solution…

This fix will also be included in the upcoming update.

  • Thank you very much, yes, everything is fine again now 👍️

But what exactly did you do?

This is just my test environment, and I would now like to fix the problem on the production website (where version 28.0.6 is still active), or should I wait until the next template update?

  • We had to correct a bug in the theme files.

It will be best if you wait for an update that corrects that.

Anyway, if you want, you can copy a file from the test environment to your main domain if you want to make an update to 28.1.3. The file responsible for that is in /betheme/functions/theme-functions.php.

    Best regards

  • Great, thank you very much for your great support 😊

  • I am happy we could help.
