Page Content Jumps on First Load – Mobile & Desktop

Hi, I'm experiencing a layout shift issue on both mobile and desktop when the page first loads. For about half a second, the content appears shifted (like it's showing a desktop view on mobile), and then it quickly jumps to the correct layout.

  • Hi,

Please always attach a link to your website so we can check it out. If the page is offline(localhost), then our help will be limited. You will have to contact us when the page is online. Also, please make sure that the page is not under maintenance before you provide us with the link.

    Thanks

  • Hi Phil,

    Thanks for the response.

The issue is visible on our live site: https://onesectrade.com.

When you load the page (especially on mobile), there’s a brief layout shift — for about half a second it looks like the desktop layout appears on mobile, and then it jumps into the correct responsive version. This happens both on our site and (to a lesser extent) on your own preview demo:

Just try refreshing and you’ll notice a similar glitch.

    Thanks

  • Please go to Betheme -> Theme options -> Performance, apply recommended settings and check if it is better then.

    Best regards

  • Hi again,

Thanks for the suggestion — I went to BeTheme → Theme Options → Performance and clicked “Apply recommended settings” as advised.

The layout shift on load is now much better — really appreciate the help on that!

However, I noticed that some of the styling on desktop has changed:

    • Button style looks different (spacing, color, or font weight)
    • Text fonts and alignments also seem altered

This wasn't the case before applying the performance settings.

How can I keep the layout fix without losing the original desktop styles? Is there a way to reapply just specific performance options manually?

    Thanks again!

    Tom

  • 1) Can you attach screenshots showing button differences, please?

I am not sure what you refer to.

    2) Also I do not know what is wrong with the fonts, so you can attach screenshots for that as well.

    Thanks
