Archive template: Query Loop - Differentiate subcategories

Hello,

I have some portfolio items. In a case, i have the category "Ice Cream" and the category "Family Ice Cream", which belongs under "Ice Cream".

I created an Archive template using BeBuilder templates. Everything works fine for categories that don’t have subcategories. However, in cases where a category has subcategories, I’d like to display each separately, e.g.:

ICE CREAM

[query loop for items from only ICE CREAM]

FAMILY ICE CREAM

[query loop for items from only FAMILY ICE CREAM]

The issue:

When I add a query loop, it always pulls all items from ICE CREAM, which includes both parent and subcategory items. The “Categories included” and “Categories excluded” settings don’t seem to affect the results.

This is the example page https://asmesotopou.gr/en/portfolio-types/ice-cream/

Could you assist me please?

Thank you in advance!
