Live Search Not Working (even though it's enabled)

Hello,

I built a website (https://thehealthcorner.co.uk) using the Herbal theme template, and even though Live Search is enabled, live search doesn't work on desktop, tablet or mobile (only regular search works). I'm not sure what other info I could give as I am using pretty much the default template. I don't believe live search worked on the template even when it was freshly installed.

I'd appreciate any help as this is a feature we really want on our site.

  • Hi Phil, do you have any idea what might be the reason for it not working? It hasn't worked since installation of the template, even when no other plugins were installed. I've just tested it on another site of ours (it uses a different base template and live search was disabled, so I enabled it) and it doesn't work on that site either - so that leads me to wonder if it's something with live search itself that's not working, rather than our installation of Wordpress/Betheme.


    What do you need FTP access for? I can provide you with access to the Wordpress dashboard no problem.

  • Live search works completely fine in my environment, so I cannot replicate the problem.

    If we find that your problem is not related to the configuration, but rather something within the files, then the FTP is crucial. Without it, we will not be able to check and correct anything in the files.

  • I have enabled Wordpress and FTP access, however, all I can see is the email contact form. Is this the one? It seems a little insecure to send through that if I've got it wrong.

  • Yes, you should use the contact form provided in the link in my first message.

    It is connected directly to our email mailbox.

    The FTP you sent do not work, so we could not correct it on your website, anyway it will be corrected it in the upcoming update.
