License for development / testing
Hi,
is it allowed to use a license for 2 pages of the same domain, where one (sub)domain is only used as a test and development environment? For example, to test new plugins or updates.
The test site is on a subdomain and is protected against access via HTTP Basic Authentication.
Both pages are on the same domain.
For example:
mysite.com = public
dev.mysite.com = protected, only for developers.

All of the themes on the Envato market are under the same license, details: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
You can use one license per end product to use any pre-built website you desire or mix them, but you cannot use the theme license on two domains.
The only exceptions are for subdomains or subfolders. You can register unlimited subdomains with one license key as long as the main domain is registered under the same key. You can also use your license key on a staging domain if it follows the appropriate pattern: https://support.muffingroup.com/how-to/how-to-set-up-betheme-staging-site/.
This also applies to subfolders on localhost installations.

Yes, as I mentioned in my previous message, you can register unlimited subdomains until your license is registered on the main domain first.

Thank you. But I have licensed a subdomain (subdomain.domain.com), not a domain. With subdomain do I need to use for testing purposes? dev.subdomain.domain.com, dev-subdomain.domain.com...

Subdomains that starts with "dev" follows pattern available for setting the staging domain so it will work.
