Unknown License Problem

Hello,

We just purchased two licenses for the Betheme theme, but we are unable to use them because each time we receive the message: "Support period date from provided license key is older than the already existing one in database!"

The purchase was made on the themeforest.net website of Evento Market.

Can you help us activate our licenses?

Thank's for help

Vincent

  • Hi,

Where are you putting your license key?

Do you do that here on the forum? If yes, it is the wrong place, as here you can validate only your support period.

If you want to register your license key, you must do it on your domain:

  • Hello,

The website is provided by a third-party company.

We tried to deregister the license, but it remains permanently active.

It's impossible to change the license.

When we click on "Check your license" and enter the information, it tells us that the licenses we purchased one day ago cannot be found.

  • Note: We tested the mfn plugin, but changing the URL does not allow unregistering the existing license.

    thinks for your help

    regards

  • If the license key does not deregister through Betheme -> Dashboard, it could mean that the company that made a website for you used a pirated version of Betheme.

Please download a fresh Betheme package from ThemeForest, replace the one you currently have installed, and try to register your license then.

When you do it, let me know if it worked.

    Thanks

  • Sorry, I just read your message.

I will take care of this quickly. I will get back to you.

I contacted the subcontractor who was in charge of developing the website, but I haven't received a response yet.

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards

  • Sure thing. I am waiting for an update from you.

  • Hello,

With your help and input, we were able to implement our license on our website.

Thank you so much for your assistance.

    We consider the issue resolved.

    Best Regards,

  • I am glad I could help.

Can you tell me which steps you proceeded with?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    We performed the following steps:

    • From the license purchase portal, we downloaded the theme directory
    • In the WordPress wp-content/themes directory, we renamed the Betheme theme directory to betheme.old.
    • We recreated a new Betheme directory.
    • We copied all the content of the previously downloaded theme into the newly created directory: `cp -R /home/user1/betheme/* /var/www/site/wp-content/themes/betheme`.
    • We reassigned the necessary permissions for Apache on the theme directory (e.g., www-data for Ubuntu).
    • In WordPress, in the Betheme theme section, we unregistered the existing "Key".
    • The unregistration process was successful.
    • We registered our own key.
    • We were able to perform the updates without difficulty

PS: The Linux command section could be optimized... 😁
