LayerSlider - Self-hosted Video Problem on iPhone

Hey,

we have a problem with the Layer Slider Plugin. 
The last slide on http://www.j-7.de has a self-hosted video as background, which won't play on an actual iPhone device. 
It works on Desktop and with emulating iPhone devices via the Chrome Dev Tools.
The autoplay option is enabled, but on an iPhone one only sees the play button and nothing happens when it is pressed.
There is no JS error. We use the WP Rocket Cache Plugin with mobile caching enabled. I thought there might be a conflict there, 
but there is no difference when it is deactivated.
Updating LayerSlider from 5.3.0 to 5.6.2 did not help either. We use BeTheme version 8.4 and WP 4.2.2.

Any help or thoughts would be very welcome.
