I CANT GET THE DEMO SLIDER PART OF THE JOURNALIST THEME

Journalist BeTheme has been installed no problem except the slider which I imported from the files given but nothing shows up, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong

The version that comes with the latest version of the Theme and also tried my own separate revolution slider plugin that I got separately but as I said both dont work

Ok. So please send us private message with access to your dashboard and we'll check your version because you must have old slider version and that's why it does not work. We are pretty sure about that.

Hi, we have the same Problem.
We are using the Theme in 9.7.1 and rev slider version 5.0.5

When we try to import we see this shortly:

Greetings

curiously the Zip weights only 8 KB.
its from the Envato download (from today 02.oct.15)

It is the Revolution Slider v5.0.5 in the betheme v9.7.1

The imported slide zip is "journalist.zip"

The message says:
"importing slider settings and data...
no animations found. the export could be damaged...
dynamic styles imported!
Slider import succesfull. You will be forwarded..."

@fedehellomuw After slider import, please make sure that you set Post types and Post categories what is necessary for this kind of sliders. Just like on this screenshot http://pasteboard.co/1fdXe7lx.png

I can see the main image... but the 3 items on the right hand side... where it says Hot News can't be seen... I can hover over it and click it but can't see it as you can see here: http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/journalist/

FYI - I'm talking about the main slider image that everyone above referenced... for some reason the 3 articles on the right side and on top of that slider cant' be seen. But I can see the main article and the main large image that others above weren't seeing by doing what you showed in your screenshot.

yes, that is why I can see the main image/article... I can't just see the items on the right. My settings look exactly how you have it.

I can see with my own eyeballs that they are. I looked at your screen shot... and then I look at what I have set... it's 100% correct. I can clearly see they aret the same. The image does come up for the main article... just not for the ones on the right. On nuances like this template... you guys probably should have a read me file with instructions for specific demo's where after install of the demo... it doesn't work out of the box.

I have post types and post categories set... when I didn't... nothing showed up... like I said above... when I set my settings like your image... the main image now shows up but not the ones on the right.

Also, I would rather not give access to my server/site. Other than the post types and post categories settings (lets assume I know how to select those 2 settings and click save)... what other settings are there that I should check?

@WebWorxTechnology Sorry but without access to your site, we won't be able to check why it does not work the same on your site. The settings we left above, works on our side so you must did something wrong if it does not work the same on your side.

please go to your FTP, create php file with phpinfo() function inside and send us link to that file privately thru the contact form which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact so we can have a look on your server settings. The problem is probably related to limits but to be sure which one is the reason, we need that link.
