SWF files embedding

I'm trying to embed somehow a swf file to my page, but I get this message when I try to upload thw swf file to media files:
"Sorry, sending files of this type is not permitted for reasons of safety. " - (It's my translation).
Can you help me somehow?

theme does not have any impact on what kind of files can be uploaded. It's only on server and WordPress side so you must look for a problem somewhere else.
