@chill4 No, there is no way to format images in specific format. This is how parallax feature works with browsers. We spent many hours on it and did not found any solution yet.
I have not been in this support forum for a long time and only logged on as to see if there was any solution to smoother page scrolling and background parallax choppy (it is in firefox as well, look at your demo header http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/cosmetics/ambassadors/) I spent 15 mins on looking at the main BE demo and all the pages are bit choppy/stuttering, not smoooooth to the eye when scrolling.
AMAZING demos and Theme but that issue is very bothersome. Any possible solutions Muffin Group?
@sterlingwilliam With recent theme update we added new parallax features. There is currently 2 of them under Theme options > Addons & Plugins > Addons section.
I have the same problem and it's so ugly. I try with both options from Theme options > Addons & Plugins > Addons section but the new option doesn't fix the problem
With ugly I mean the smooth scrolling parallax effect. The problem is only with chrome browser like you can see on this page: http://algiardinetto.pizza/
@chrishiver New parallax feature works much better then previous. However, if it's still not enough good for you, there is nothing else what we can do. There was always problem between Chrome and parallax but this new addon is the best one we found so far. There is no other better working parallax in Chrome.
Yeah I don't see any difference MuffingGroup (you know I LUV y'all and your insane themes and talents, but if our pages are 'choppy' it affects whole site impression to all viewers)
Can you tell the difference on your view as I can def see, much smoother here
@sterlingwilliam To be honest, our new parallax works the same in Chrome as the parallaxes you sent above. Only parallax on elegant themes is smoother and it's only because they are cheating with small resolution of images, they are using 2 layers for backgrounds and they do not have many parallaxes on one site. If you will set one parallax background with our theme, you will get the same smooth effect as on their site. So far we included 2 best parallax options available in the web. We tested many different solutions and the parallaxes we included so far are best choice. Also if you will disable all extra features like: Nice scroll, Sticky header, animations on scroll and other, parallax effect would be smoother.
If it can help anyone. I had the exact same issue described and what I did to fix the issue in Chrome is simply by changing the Scroll | Plugin to Default Browser Scroll in the BeTheme options. I was only having the 'jerking' issue with the Smooth Scroll option.
