Importing Demo Data fails through process

Hi

I am hosting with 123-reg - I have successfully imported the theme and installed all the plugins.

When I went to 'BeTheme Import Demo Data' - I chose the option:

Import - Demo

Demo | Pre-made Layout - Webmaster

Attachments - import attachments was checked

When I clicked the button 'Import demo data' - after 2 seconds I got a blank page with no message and my spinner in the browser tab stopped. I tried this several times and it keeps giving me a blank page. I checked the database and some data is going in. Why is the loader stopping?

  • Hi,

the demo can not be loaded because of the limits on your server side for sure. Please try to upload demo without attachments and check if this would work.
  • I tried this without attachments and it didn't work either

I even tried to upload another theme with and without attachments and the same blank page

Do you have any other methods I can use to upload the webmaster demo
  • No, we do not have any other method for the upload. But if you will send us private message with dashboard and FTP access, we can turn of debug mode and check where the problem is.
  • Hi

I have sent a message through the link you have provided. Hope you can get it to work.

    Thank you

  • Will this work - if I run Wordpress on easyphp on my local machine. Install Wordpress and betheme. Download the 'webmaster' theme and then export/import the database to the 123-reg server with the files?

    Just an idea.
  • We did never tested that solution so we can't answer on this question unfortunately.
  • Did you get my private message with the credentials to the FTP and Wordpress dashboard?
  • This is the response I got from 123-reg

Could you tell me what the requirements are

Thank you for contacting 123-reg on the 8th January 2016.
Can you please tell us what are the theme requirements so that we may advise if your hosting package can meet them? Thank you.
  • Hi

I did it - webmaster template is on the server now.

This is how I did it.
    - Installed EasyPHP on my local machine
    - Installed wordpress
    - Uploded the BeTheme
    - Downloaded the 'Webmaster' theme using the one click
    - Exported the MYSQL database
    - Replaced all 127.0.0.1 with my domain name with a find and replace

Then I went onto the 123-reg domain and
    - Created the new database
    - Imported the MYSQL database I downloaded from my local machine
    - Uploaded the files to the server from local machine

The theme was not showing correctly so I opened two browsers local and server went into 'BeTheme Options' and set all the settings for the menu option to the local machines theme options.

    Long winded but it worked.
  • Great, we are glad to hear that you sorted it already.
