How can I have a sidebar on single post page?

I have reviewed other discussions in this forum and the only info available is 'to set up a blog page properly' linked to this page:
I have followed those instructions and created this page:
However when opening any individual post, this opens without sidebar. I know you can manually add the sidebar to the post but what I need is for them all to open the default sidebar I created for Blog page.
Can you please help?

did you set sidebar layout for posts under Theme options > Sidebars > Posts section?
