Blog masonry featured image

Hello,

there is a blog masonry showing 3 posts.

The lastest one has a featured image - is there a way to set it to show the whole width of image with whitespace above and below?

But this is how the whole image looks like what you can see on http://proprahu.cz/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/PF_v2-576x450.jpg - WP is taking the right proportions itself and there is nothing what we can do to change this behave.

The 576x250 is a miniature the WP created and placed into the masonry blog image.

Yes, this is true. Wordpress always creates own thumbnails. If you want to change this behave, you must play with functions/theme-functions.php file where these thumbnails are made.

Just to be sure

The theme adds a -576x450.jpg to my image to display the cropped thumbnail that is set in functions/theme-functions.php

Is there a way to change this to link to full image?

Because this is what happens when I change the generated html and delete the -576x450.jpg

Please see the image Snip2 and Snip3 - that is the change and Snip1 is the result which is exactly what I want.

Like we wrote above, this can be changed under theme files only. We do not have any option for that and it also can not be changed with css.
