How do I change to a different background image on my blog?

Hey!

I have a website for my company that also needs a blog section.

But I want to have a different background image on that section.

Now it look really weird and it's difficult to read the posts.

How do I change the background image on only this section?

Hi,

you set this image for HTML what means it is not possible to change it for that page only. About 2nd question, if buttons are missing please update theme to latest version and check. OR you can try to open site in different browser or just do not zoom your screen size.

Ok, but is there no other solution for my blog if I wish to have a single colour background?

If you want to cover current background image with color, then it is possible and you can do this with the following css:

.blog { background: #000 !important; }

Like any other css, above line need to be pasted under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section.

Also, how do I change the width of the text in the posts? Now it's to wide.

This is global section and it works for each page around website. As a proof, take a look on http://pasteboard.co/1EivARsU.png - we suggest to move above css on 1st position because you probably did something wrong in the css and that's why above code does not work.

In reference to 2nd question, if content is too wide, you need to increase Grid Width under Theme options > Global > General section.
